Okay, I am joining the fray! -My family is headed headed out for a few days, I am furloughed this week, and I just sorted through my pile o'parts so here begins my first BO entry...

I had planned to build a stretched out slammed scraper kind of affair, but am now concerned that may be a bit tame for the board! On the other hand I have a limited amount of 'alone' time and completing this build is a fer shure kindo requirement. I also want to fab some kind of bent fork doohickey, just ordering one (i.e. paying for anything), just rubs me the wrong way... So the theme of my build is: simple and cheap , ding!

I see people dig pictures, so I will try to remember to take more, sometimes building starts happening really fast and I miss steps, because there are no steps

I am committed now haha!2020-06-29 12.21.29.jpg2020-06-29 12.20.00.jpg

Welcome to the madness.
That looks exactly like a "stretched out slammed scraper kind of affair " to me.

Thanks KF! I had a feeling you had vision- and so you do!

Found some more parts so used those, instead of tubing
So, how did i get here? I did take A LOT of pictures, but i wound up building instead of posting.
Here's a few, let me know if you would like to see more.

You really should get a couple camp saw blades for struts!!!

perhaps, but it can just be faked in as well since the forks are rigid and don't need to push against anything or be tied together like an actual springer...

But it does "feel" like there needs to be "something" there- perhaps springs or a chrome doo-hickey or a cheese grater... ? I am open to suggestion !!

I may take another stab at the forks, this first pass was a real learning experience

He's got clearance, Clarence. Mo fatta, mo betta! Fill those empty spaces!

I am re- visiting my forks
forks

I had a sudden realization that they need to swoop up and "be" the handle bars.
I bet i could flip the fork/headset over too, or will that lever just rip right off? Cool
Anyhow, I bent up a test, more to come- plus i get a chance to shove the frame a little bit lower
