    Missed finishing within the build off time line, but still working on making a rideable downhill bomber!

    Start with a few 80's beach cruisers of the Free Craigslist forum.....

    New direction and big change on choice frame! Picked up this '35 Hawthorne from a member here - couldn't pass it up and think it is a much better direction for my Klunk!

    Finding out so much about these old frames, one: I can't figure out the right seatpost size and two: the 1984 crank I went to put on last night doesn't fit - it's too big (wide) - much smaller bottom bracket width on this olde' '35!

    Ok, if a modern loose ball bottom bracket shell measures 68mm (also where the incorrect crank I tried to install is from) this one is 64mm or 2.5 inches. My calipers are metric by the way.
