Looking back at this first image on the build thread, the only parts I am still using are the pink wheels (now raw aluminum, paint removed) and a chrome crank from one of the frames...... parts is parts!

Test Ride Evaluation:
- Happy with the bigger tires - 26x2.4 front and 26x2.35 rear
- There is actually room for bigger tires!
- Frame is Solid and feels good on the street.
- Head set is 'jenky' NEEDS to be replaced (but it was build with spare parts)
- Could use one more gear, currently running a 44:16... 45?
- Cut 1" off each end of my $14 ATV bars = much improvement.
- Bars might be bent a bit on the right side?? Couldn't tell if it was the bars or the bad headset?
- Couldn't get the seat tight enough....
- Putting the Wrights on in the next few days.....
- Any tips on getting these solid 5/8" posts to hold tight?
- Rebuilding a set of Suntour XC-II's to fit one piece cranks - will look much better than these VP's
- Might mess around with the tire set up one more time?
- Sourcing some cool bar wrap (top secret).

Leather Wrights seat in hand and soaking up the Proofhide.

I’d vote aluminum! The most noticeable weight difference on a bike is in the centrifugal force. The bike will feel much ‘zippyer’80's Steel wheels or 2010's Electra aluminum?
