Hate that I didn't get a pic of the bike but I had a guy tell me he had an older mongoose. when I looked at it I kind of blew it off at first but now wondering now about what year it was. It had no decals, the frame was chrome with a solid square gusset the width of the frame and the rear seat stays came up around the seat tube like the mid 80s GT Performers, bent seat tube and a plastic mongoose logo seat. The logo on the head tube is what has my confused the most Its a round stick on mongoose badge with the mongoose and bicycles centered on the top and bottom of the circle with the animal in the center. I know for a long time they have had the circle mongoose logo but usually the words are off center of each other.
