I need to add a grip, but otherwise i like it!

Re: Moto-Muscle! First ride!

It may be riding, but its nowhere near finished! There is a lot of bodywork and finishing to do.

Re: Moto-Muscle! First ride!

Oh I rode it like that! It was a bit odd...

Re: Moto-Muscle! First ride!

That thing looks awsome and scary at the same time I love it. Keep going I can't wait to see it finished.

Re: Moto-Muscle! First ride!

Thanks!

Re: Moto-Muscle! First ride!

So, for the mounting of the sissy bar... I am thinking of mounting it an inch or two in front of the axle like this:

Then the angles will line up with the steerer tube.

Here is what it will look like at the axle (I would have to bend the sissy bar like crazy to clear it.)

What do you guys like more?

Re: Moto-Muscle! Sissy bar question.

Both look good in the examples, but I think #1 might be at risk for falling back because of weight. That's why #2 just looks more "correct" to me.

Re: Moto-Muscle! Sissy bar question.

I think I would go with the second one from the standpoint of rigidity. I also think I would go to the bottom or just a little obove the seat the long look messes with the flow you have that looks so good.

Re: Moto-Muscle! Sissy bar question.

Hmm. Well the sissy bar will provide no structural support because the thing mounting the seat is made to support my weight. I might even leave it off.

That why I said the second one... Looking at it only from a "looks" perspective... Whatever you do, you are onto a winner, the bike is turning out really cool!

Re: Moto-Muscle! Sissy bar question.

Sissy bar is on! I bit the bullet and drilled through the frame. I think I will end up lowering the bar to the arch. It looks much better to me.
