Hello All,

I need your help deciding.
Tried to whittle my picture choices down
Couldn’t separate how good it felt to be there from what the picture looks like
Asked friends and family for input
Then tried gut-reaction and over-analyzation
Now I can find issues with all the remaining favorites
(BTW: no photoshopping was involved)
These are the ones left...
What do you think? Please help!

#1 Ford Parkway Bridge over the Mississippi River

#2 Sail boat dock on Lake Nokomis

Re: Spaceliner pics, need help

I think I like #2 best, but they are all good pics IMO! 8)

Re: Spaceliner pics, need help

#6 for sure, different than most the pics I've been seeing. As for a city/night picture I think this is the best.
The nights black being cut into by some excellent lighting, perspective of the bike are nice. #6 for sure. Either way, its my new background.

Re: Spaceliner pics, need help

the stonearch bridge at night-time ..is the best...its has its own spotlight! this bike should have a name??

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the kind compliments.
Thanks also for the feedback on the pictures.
I actually printed some 8X10s last weekend to look at them again
Surprised how much more in-focus they all look
rather than seeing them with a coarsely pixilated digital viewer

I agree with Slow Rider that #1 pictures the bike itself the best but the background isn’t the best.

I like Pick’s pick of #2, it has tension (people rocking the dock and it close to falling in)
The light from behind me was reflecting off the chrome and gives it an unusual look.
It seems a little dark though yet.
Several colleagues picked this one too

#3 was fun but it’s out

I agree with Skipton about #4
It doesn’t have the lock or pouch so it looks cleaner
It’s a bike shot primarily and a bit simple otherwise
But it’s harder to tell it’s a Spaceliner from the straight-on angle

#5 I really like but as an “art shot”
The print looks much better but has to be portrait vs landscape

#6 is my favorite because the night was warm and clear,
it was my first night ride with it
and I was coming home after an awesome LBS party

I feel honored that Rancor would use that one as a backdrop
Chromer, its RBB#6 name was Hot Rod ’Liner
The bike is a bit unfocused but the whole picture has that effect
Unfortunately, I’d have to compete with Skipton’s incredible Chicago night shot

Two of you liked #7
The shimmering water works with the shiny chrome
I like the shadow and the front tire angle
But it’s a bit monochromatic (pun intended)
Also it’s a poor imitation of Skipton’s dramatic Lake Michigan/Chicago pics
It could be cropped 12”X12” yet but probably not rectangular landscape

I think my only choice left is to use #2 Boat Dock on Lake Nokomis
I actually rode out on to the dock and am lucky I didn’t go for a swim
The pic is the most unique and shows off the chrome reflections
Plus it makes the chain ring look huge

Thanks for all the help
Please forgive my winded entry

i pick #5
the great view + great bike :)

Thanks a lot Guys,
I'm glad I had a good enough mix that people liked different ones
Also glad a least one person may have got a laugh out of #3
I have to stick with #2 now that I've decided

All good loves those bikes myself wanna get one someday. Fav pic would have to say second one looks like she's almost floating

In the moment I`m building a speedbike too! It looks great! I`m impressed!

Thanks for the kind comments guys :D
SchwinnRay, all I've ever wanted was my pictures to be snazzy
I'm looking forward to seeing your speed bike, Micha
BikeBum, thanks for more confidence that my Contest choice (#2) was a good one
It was kinda floating/rolling on the dock, I'm glad I didn't have to fish it out of the lake
MotoPhysco, Thanks for your comment, That is what I was going for, it's is still my personal favorite
Somehow(dumb luck) the faces on the Guthrie theater came out reasonably focused and gave it a cool look

So my choice still #2
Thanks for looking

#2 Still my favorite! Great Calendar material!
