Here are 2 bikes I recentlly acquired. The first one is a 26" Schwinn anniversary edition cruiser (1995?) that my neighbor got out of the dump for me. Great condition. Its amazing what some people throw away. I thought about parting it out but decided to leave it alone and get some use out of it. I stripped the tank, fenders, and chain guard off and put on some tall gullwings i had for one of my other bikes.

The second one is a 1980 Schwinn Stingray II ( serial # CR584171 and head badge # 1510) i found on Craigslist and picked up last night. I paid $35 for it and its in OK shape. Needs a new sissy bar, chain, and a good once over but I had to get it. Always loved the look of these bikes.

Naw man its steel. I thought about redoing the bike but i think i'll just leave it as is for now. Gotta get a milk crate for the back though so i can pedal to the store for beer and what not. Thats about it.

Well I took the little Schwinn Stingray apart and cleaned and re greased all the bearings and what not. Everything was in great shape. Had to steal a coaster brake arm from an old kids bike i grabbed out of a trash pile and slapped an old chain on it. I also put some wider bmx tires on it, changed out the chain ring with one from an old Huffy, and repaired the damaged sissy bar. It is fully functional now and i think i'll leave it as is. What a fun little bike. Total cost is about 45 bucks. I'm gonna give it to my son when he gets tall enough to ride it. He's already excited about that.:D Here is the finished product.

Thanks man. All that stuff was on it when i got it. Well i'm like 6'2" pushing 190 lbs so I pretty much bottom out the springs on the sissy bar. That can make for a rough ride, but its ok considering its a kids bike. The seat also has no cushion left in it so that takes a toll too.The wheels are true and everythings straight on it so all in all it rides good. I dont like the short crank on it though cause i have to pedal my ... off to keep any speed and that tends to make the knees and legs ache :? . I thought about putting a longer one on it but since i'm keeping it for my boy i'm just gonna leave it alone.
