Paint is not original, my father decided sometime in the 50s to repaint it. It was originally white with red and blue pinstripes. My grandfather purchased the bike from one of the 6-day bike racers in chicago around 1940 to cross train on for his speedskating. My grandfather was one of the top speed skaters in the country at the time.

wow! awesome bike, cant wait to see more in the builds section!

So nice!
How is the project coming?
I am ashamed that I let go of my early original owner Paramount's, traded them for original Whizzer's.
Take notice here on the hubs and cranks that they do not say "Schwinn", the European (English) made parts are all stamped "Schninn".
Rumor is that the intentional miss spelling was part of an import duty tax dodge.
