ok...so it's been some time since i posted...i tried the search, but 'cause i have LITTLE patience left, i gave up!!!!

yep...i know a guy (My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl) who owns a bike shop and has an account with them...i have not asked the price yet

Others have posted here and elsewhere that it was over $100. Keep an eye on ebay, there were several companies making chains back in the day and brands other than Diamond typically go in the 35-50 range. Most of the more anal restorers will only run NOS old school Diamond chains so they are more in demand...the "new" diamond chain in the pic may have been imported by Diamond as it is nothing like the old chains...

New Departure skiptooth; great for museum pieces and feather weights, I guess I should have saved all that "useless crap" I tossed back in the '70's. :x

You need a skiptooth chain? I have several used ones and I'd sell you one. No guarantees against failure though...they are old and rusty but not froze up. How long does it have to be?
