Re: <New W@ve> a few parts 4 da build

Finally got some time to put some mock up pieces together, Seatpost and seat are not in the cards for this build, just need to figure out what seat I am using, and get my post ordered.

And here's the fully documented rear hub rebuild.
1 New bearings,grease and freewheel

Possible option on the grips, but probably go with the pink

Colors ????

Its going to be bright, once I get that chrome shined up

Re: <New W@ve> MOCKUP!!!! & colors

Cleaned up the rusty fork and found a use for this roll of Flite tape I have been kicking around my garage since the eighties, I think it is just what it needs.

I had to find a home for my small block Chevy that has been sitting in my buddies garage for awhile so I had to move these out of the way so I could find a place.

I almost forgot , I might find a use for this in the build.

Re: <New W@ve> Fork & Grill

Ok Graduation over, had a whole day being sick at home today I could have worked on the bike, but that sick thing got in the way :( , my 11 year anniversary is this weekend, so I don't see a whole lot getting done including Cyclefest :( but I did get the seatpost finally ordered, I may change the bars due to the fact I can't run a bmx style stem with the Schwinn bars, and I do have another set of sweet bars lined up.
now for some inspiration

Re: <New W@ve> Procrastination ? never!!!

Decided against using the grill for now, so carrying on the eighties theme,I progressed, first off somebody tell me the year of this.

I am not using this fork, but here's kinda my basecoat

A little pink

and it still needed something

Blue brush for the finishing touch

Re: <New W@ve> GOT PAINT!! 6/15

WHAM! would be proud!

Re: <New W@ve> GOT PAINT!! 6/15

the colors fit the name "New W@ve" for sure. Looking good! I gotta see how this one comes out.

Re: <New W@ve> GOT PAINT!! 6/15

Thanks guys, now still deciding on the grips...pink or blue, and there is a reason I kept the paint simple on the rear triangle, still need to fab some sort of brake mount for the caliper (and gloss white is an easy touch up). I also received my awesome seatpost from Slowrider that will get the polish treatment along with the old Schwinn BMX stem off a Scrambler and the Petes Performance Products chainring, still deciding on a seat. I also think I may have issues with chain alignment, chase that rainbow later, but for now..

Re: <New W@ve> GOT PAINT!! 6/15

I think I had a jumbo crayon in grade school similar in color to the headtube area on your bike GSC. I would do the pink grips myself :)

Re: <New W@ve> GOT PAINT!! 6/15

Looks great! I had a Shogun MTB once that was painted pretty much like this.......late 80's or early 90's
