nexus3and 7 hubs

if a bike with these hubs sit for 3 or 4 years does it take awhile for the grease to warm up and the hub to work good?

I haven't had a nexus7 that sat quite that long...but, maybe a year or two without issue.

I added some light oil to my Nexus 3 that may have sat for a couple years or more when I bought it. The light oil was added at the bearings and down the hole in the axle where the shift rod goes. That seemed to make it roll and shift more freely. I wanted to avoid having to open the hub to add lube and oil.
