Throwing in another build because I’ve been so good keeping up with the other two! Lol. This one should be just a restoration that doesn’t need a lot of parts, but a lot of work. Here’s what I’m starting with:

Sweet!

Finally got this bike all unpackaged. Inspected parts and I’m making restoration decisions such as the chrome on the rear fender being in such horrible shape, rather than chroming it, I’m going to paint them.

and look at this. Originally painted purple, they repainted it bronze at the factory. Now it’s just covered in layers of terrible rattle can.

So, given how many colors it's been, what color is it going to be?

I'm a fan too. I wasn't real big on them until I did this:

Love that one. First time I saw a regular rail with the painted fenders.

Was always a fan of the painted fender Slingshots. Have only seen those in yellow.

Could do something pretty interesting with a fade. Or maybe use a white stripe on a dark color? Look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Right now I’m trying to acquire a front tire and seat. Those will be indicators of the direction, but I think I have what I “want” to do in mind.

Meanwhile, I’ve started the restoration on a lot of the parts. Spokes are being made, and the parts are getting sand blasted. So... progress.

That’s going to be the color scheme. Huffy purple faded into a seafoam green to match this seat.

so while I figure out a name for it. ( “Goblin” just keeps sticking with me.) I started a little body work. You saw how rusted and flakey the rear fender was. I had it sand blasted with the rest, and it was fairly pitted. So I gave it a layer of body filler and sanded that down. You can see how much is left.

so, some more metal prep, then on to primer while I wait for spokes and a front rim.
