Old Colson

Just picked this Colson up last night & I'm guessing it's from the teens. A local guy had an add on craigslist for a couple of bicycles so I called him up to see if he had more. He probably has about 50 bikes & tons of parts. This is the only one I got but will be going back for more.

Are the fork struts welded to the fork at the bottom?
