Going through a few old 26 x 1 3/8 wheels. gonna try to get a few wheelsets together for a couple of projects. I also have a pile of used tires. IDK how old they are but say 1960's - 1970's vintage so only 50 - 60 years old! :emo:

They are mostly gumwalls, one set has cracks in the tread when you pinch them so i think the are toast.
All the others seem sound except for cracking gum walls. I've thrown away a lot of old bike tires that were rotten but these are not and even have nice tread. Maybe these tires came off of bikes hanging upside down in garages?

My CCM tandem from the early seventies has what I assume are the original tires. No wear whatsoever, barely any cracks, so I'm rolling on them. Black walls, though, which seems to last longer
