One mans trash.... abandoned CCM Apache frame

Got detoured by some construction yesterday and ended up seeing this leaning against a mailbox in a subdivision near our house.

Went back 4 hours later and it hadn't been moved so I'm sure it had been thrown out.

Apart from the frame and chainguide it's in rough shape. The fork is extended with conduit and bolts, the brake doesn't work, the bar is shot, seat is torn up but I can see potential in it !!

Talked to a friend last night who had ridden by it first thing in the morning, left in exactly the same spot. It's also garbage day on Monday and people put out items for scrap on Sunday.

I don't believe I was out of line picking it up after 4 hours. Haven't seen any ads on kijiji or craigslist for a stolen bike matching that description. If I do it will of course be returned.
