When I first started here I liked a 1938 Colson frame. I built a couple stretched 7'' to
make them more comfortable. Then I bought a Jd2 bender to have the ability
to bend a looptail for a rear triangle. I bent a couple and one ended up on this frame. I stuck
some 24'' rims on it and the dropouts were too high so the pedals would hit when you went around
a corner. I have tried different parts and then mostly hung it in the shed. I finished the Black Floyd
wheelset and was building a girls frame for my wife. It didn't work out and became scrap. So today I
stuck the wheels and the fork I built on this frame. It all fits like a glove. Sits right and heck even had
a kickstand that worked. So since it sits low, I'm going to paint it whatever she wants and build this
up instead of another trial that may or may not work.

A comparison to my beast. Its about 3'' longer and a few inches shorter. The wheels
are 2 5/8'' wide rims instead of the 4'' beast, and the tires are 26x 3.8 instead of the 26x4 on the beast.
Still going to be a monster build in its own right.

Thanks 1HP its really a comfortable frame. I can lower the seatpost and slam the seat .
Will fit my wife good. I guess she wants it orange to match mine.

Thanks boy. It should look pretty good with some decent parts and paint.
Its a really comfortable riding bike and with the monster tires , it should look as good too.

Shot a little paint on the frame. Looks fair. Could have spent some extra time
with some bondo, but it looks pretty good. Still have to finish the fork...weld....bondo
and paint. Won't be too long , but I'm in no hurry.

Thanks Schwinnray. I built the front in 2008 and its gone through a bunch of
transformations since then. I added the looptail a couple years ago. Its been
just hanging around waiting its turn for a build. My style of frames has moved away
from the small tube ones. I think it will turn out pretty good. I have my Fab friend
building a tank for it. That should be finished Monday.

Thanks Chuck. It could turn out pretty nice..... I hope.

Got my fork welds sanded down and its ready for some bondo to smooth it
up and then paint. Should be able to finish that tomorrow.

Thanks Lewie. Living in Texas , everything is hot, especially if you leave it outside
for very long. Glad you like the build.
Get some tubing and weld you one up. Its not that hard to do.

Still have to get my tank monday or tuesday...pick up a chain and make a few more
tweaks, but its really close. Not too shabby looking so far.
