PRE - WAR ??? Boys Murray bicycle (solid rubber tires)

I'm thinking of picking this up but i'd like to know more about it first...
Searial number reads...

According to the Murray serial number chart there should be a letter after MOS followed by a " - " to indicate the year???
Can't really tell from the pic but i think it has a skip tooth chain.

Any ideas?
