Wow this bike is sweet! What a great looking frame and that tank is over the top. Looks like a zepplin.
Thanks, it's an Elgin Robin tank. The Robin is always on the top ten prewar bikes list. I don't have the parts to complete the bike so I thought I'd have some fun while I wait.
Looking good hard to go wrong with a tank like that . Coming together nice . We all need a rat in our collection

Recieved, stripped and aged a rack today. That's about it.....it's like 100 degrees outside right now!
I'm experimenting. I use a peroxide and salt mix with water. When I did the frame, it was down to bare metal and I had it soaked with the mix and shot the paint on it when it was wet. The rack war reverse (the way I normally do it), lightly painted, sanded and then rusted.
I added some more blue to the frame and fork, polished the battery tube and added for bling to the rims.
I think the plates are too much. What's your thoughts?
I agree. They distract the eye from the beauty of the bike.

Keep them around for event rides, parades, special celebrations. But the bike is a gem all by itself without the extra 'jewelry'...
Agreed, the bright colors pull your eye. The bike looks to good to only see the front wheel.
