but there's a very bad sign on the helmet
You'd be surprised at how many bikers use that symbol, and how many people don't know what it means.

WOW! Amazing work! Was that a design, or completely "on the spot" created?

...And what does the symbol mean :?:

i agree those stripes look awesome buzzy! i love the stripes over old paint. make it have a really cool patina!

Nazi symbolism...

Gentlemen, a correction if I may. While Hitler and the nazi party were responsable for the perversion of many ancient symbols (the lightning bolts, swastika, and iron cross among many, the symbol itself far pre-dates them.(13th-14th century)
While no one here is questioning the facts of what the Nazis did, throwing a blanket "bad" label on the runic writing without demonstrating how and why does nothing to educate or prevent this from re-occurring.

Unchained, hope that answered your question fully.

First off, cool bike - great addition with the striping, and awesome job of covering that seat!

Now, as for this:

A little clarification here: while the above statement is true, especially regarding the swastika, those aren't just runic or medieval "lightning bolt" symbols; they are the abbreviation for the Nazi "SS", short for "Schutzstaffel", meaning "Protection Squad" (or "Protective Staff"), since the group originally were bodyguards for top-ranking Nazis. As it refers, these were strong-arm bullies and tough guys. In time they morphed into much more, but they were always considered as an elite unit, and nearly untouchable. In fact, the SS was in charge of the Holocaust.
The SS's military arm, the "Waffen SS", became a kind of "second German army", in addition to the regular German army, the Wehrmacht.
