A couple of years back I got this frame on eBay and wanted to make just a fun simple ride out of it, last year I painted the frame up and I have all the parts to bring it together. This is my project,

Thanks. A lot of cool rides being built this summer in the contest. So iLets get cranking! My first step is adding a 60s Schwinn springer fork. It is lighter then the 50s and ya all chrome.

A resto-mod with various years of upgrade. For example a Schwinn Spitfire head badge verses a plain Schwinn head badge.

Whats up? Gotta be done by Aug 1. Finished bike photos must be posted in the "Finished Bikes" thread by 10:00 p.m. CST on Sunday, August 2nd, 2015.

One problem with old kids and old kid bikes is gearing. Replaced 18t back sprocket Bendix with bigger 23t Stormy Archer. Two hours of fileing and she fits.

Love the ride. Really love the kid gearing. I will be ordering more sprockets on Amazion soon. Get me another beer and lets post the finished Spitfire.
