I may have missed it, but where do you guys get your leather? I am just getting started with gathering my tools and supplys. Im just going to start out with covering some old seats that cracked and pealed. Any suggestions or forum direction is appreciated. My apps search function doesn't work. A lot of awesomeness in this thread!

Just the bare steel pan from the seat that was on the bike when I got it. Reworked the post, clamp, and springs, removed the rails from underneath to get it to sit as low as possible.

Yes, that bolt head looks menacing, but it test rode just fine.

Now that voting is over, here is the custom seat from Pedro! Steel frame, plywood bases, three layers of dual density foam shaped with a sanding disc.

Just finished this Persons seat. These have an odd shape to them...interesting to do. I was able to find leather with a nearly identical grain pattern as the original "artificial leather".
