i just bought ( yesterday, so its not here yet ) a looptail frame on ebay. its a 1982 fuji mx500 . i have a few cool ideas for the build , lots of cool nos goodies for it. show off pics of your looptails!

Pretty cool little loop tail you have there, I have a few,
1984 BMX Products Blue Max, just picked this up, have big plans for it.

Early 90's Mongoose, keep kicking around the idea of building it.

And finally my 2013 P.K. Ripper retro, love the way this bike looks and rides.

well here it is :mrgreen: ! this is the frame i bought on ebay that i mentioned on the initial post ( it finally got here and i finally got a chance to shoot some pics )
my vision is to build an " 80's do-over " . basically ive been gathering nos parts and i want to build something as if i were a kid again going to the bike shop ( present day 80's ).
the frame is a 82 fuji mx500.
i bought some yellow lesters for the occasion 8)
i just threw some 20 inch columbia forks ( from a 64 i stripped )
i like how they look ( remember im trying to go with a theme of me tinkering as a kid in the 80's ) im 37 now
i really like the overall vibe of the bike so far
( im still gathering parts so i dont want to get ahead of myself just yet )

i really like the forks. figured its different than the normal bmx style.what do you guys think?

Today I threw on a sugino snowflake and sugino crank. I really like how nicely it mimics the lesters

Im still playing around so here is another mock up pic. ( ignore the frame/fork color ,ignore the vicegrips holding the way too tiny seatpost up, ignore the old junk chain too as I was checking how the chainline looked because of the fork im trying ) Im gonna have to get a custom seatpost from slowriderz to fit the bill. All of mine are too dinky. I think its coming along pretty good

1979 Roger Decoster mostly original parts new seat parts wheels are new tuff wheel II limited addition tie dye blue as found patina'd handle bars.

Here's another mock up. Modeling my new seatpost from rrb.com member slowriderz .
Now I just have to tear the bike down for paint and replace the chain :mrgreen:
