The name for this build is Simpatico, and it comes from my fave Mexican beer back in the days.

This years build will be based on a Motoleggera 65 (Moto Guzzino 65).The first prototypes began to circulate in mid- 1945 : the engine is a two-stroke 65-centimeter three-stroke engine, cast aluminum, with a three-speed gearbox hanging on a 50 mm diameter tube that frames. The definitive model of what will be marketed as Motoleggera 65 was presented in the spring of 1946 .The production of "Guzzino" ceased in 1954 , after 71,534 manufactured specimens.
Dimensions (length × width × height) 1930 × 700 × 930 mm
Running on Front and rear 26 "x 1 3/4 x 2".

I am going with a similar design with a twist.
Have been collecting parts for this all year.
When I was building the Indian this bike popped up in a search for parts, and the ideas started rolling in.
Now I could actually save and purchase one from Italy and ship it down. But where would the fun be in that?;)

The donar frame.? I have 3 frame to choose from. But seem to be aiming towards this.

How the bike once was.

And will decide if I am running 24" or 26" wheels. At the moment the frame runs on 24". So would certainly have to extend the rear drops to fit 26" in...
Cut the seat post and turn it around, add some extra bars here and thr,and we might just have a winner.:21:
Color choice is the classic black, gold and silver...

Will drag out the parts later and get picks and mocks...
I just hope time is on my side for this years build-off.

Good luck to everyone and hope to see you at the finish line...

I am familiar with two stroke, four stroke, and rotary engines, but what is a three stroke?
This was translated from Italian to english. I am as confused as you. I believe they originally had 50cc then went as far as 98cc

In regard to the previous ^ question about strokes, you could always subtitle your build:
"Different Strokes". o_O

Looks cool Funk.

Some parts I have been collecting.

A old well rounded Simson tank.

I love the Simson on the tank cap.

Some old ammo cases and grips. Cases I will use not sure on grips yet.

Need to decide between the saddles. Brookes needs new leather.

I have these old garrelli guards but are to small for 26 or 24. So might use them as a base. Thinking to play with fiberglass and try and make some. What could go wrong?

And wait for it. I managed to get my hands on some original Guzzino forks.
Will have to play with the stem, a lot smaller than bikes.

With a 26" wheel inside.

Looks like the beginnings of another epic Miss Funk build!

Funk you've got some great parts / ideas going! I recently saw a fork like that on a bike for sale on our local Craigslist. Might be worth it just for the fork....
RaT oN!

Remember Bootsy playing bass for James Brown before PF. What two songs did Bootsy play drums for PF?

Okay, I am a PF fanatic.

I give up. Did not know he played drums. Met my wife in '67 and our song is "I Wanna Testify," when they were "The Parliaments" and hadn't discovered acid yet. I hope we get a video of the finished moto-bike in action. GLWTB.
