Here’s an update on my buddies ‘39 DX. It had some trouble spots on the bridges and those got some treatment today.
Some before and after shots.
Chainstay bridge he wasn’t able to salvage and it needed to be replaced.

Luckily the Seat stay bridge was salvageable, old welds removed.

Can’t wait to see it built up and go on a few rides.
And in case you missed it, here’s the frame.

I usually stay away from women’s Schwinns, unless it’s dirt cheap/free it’s not worth the wait to flip those bikes. But, this one popped up and it’s was cheap enough, but what got my attention was all the accessories and the trainer stand it was sitting on.

I’ve never seen this type of stand, guy I got it from said that’s how he got it from the original owner. Axles go all the way thru, that’s a real long axle.

Seems like with all the accessories and fixed trainer stand it might of been a window piece put on by the dealer?

Seat pouch still had the tire levers with it’s packaging, untouched tire patch kit and the missing reflector from the rear fender.

My very first thought was strip it clean, now I’m leaning towards restore and keep.

It’s a 74 Schwinn Suburban. This thing weighs a ton. Seems to only be missing the pump on the downtube.

Here’s an awesome score. A bunch of saddles for $60!!
A few dorcy’s, a few schwinns, viscounts, a couple of beat up Brooks, possibly a worksman and more.

It is funny how I see fixie people take those vintage quilted seats and put them on their new, expensive track bikes.

Fuji fixie track bike. Bought it for $100, I only really wanted the Brooks B17, but I’ll snatch the Crankset too. Minus the broken stem, it’s in good condition. Bike will prob be parted out.

Size? Might have interest in the carcass

I’m unsure of the size and if I part out I’m gonna try and sell it locally first (Los Angeles area). To be completely honest, I don’t even know how to ship a bicycle frame.

Sugino RD2 cranks are good but not as good as the Sugino 75 cranks.
