Figured I would start ripping into my Spaceliner and seeing what I can do with it. I tore it down tonight and noticed one tube is cracked where it meets with the head tube and a small crack in the head tube. Tomorrow I'll degrease the frame and all the little parts, later in the weak everything goes into an OA bath and I'll see what I'm working with from there.

Once it's all cleaned up I'll see what direction I want to go with the whole thing

I'm debating pulling the wheels apart to soak those too then just lacing them up with new spokes, and hunting down a tank for it

Tires just got here, leaving the wheels a little rusty.

The parts came out of the OA bath in pretty good shape still a lot of rust on the inside of the fenders. The frame and the forks did not clean up as nice as I had hoped for, the frame might make it's way to the sandblaster then just clear over the top of the raw metal. I've got a few others that need to go get blasted anyways.

a new headset is ordered since the bearing cages were completely rotted out and the races were pretty pitted when i pulled them out of their soak. I think I'll have to shim the bearing cups to make them work but that's not a problem. Same goes for the bottom bracket, the bearings came out of the mineral spirits and had a lot of pitting on them. Time to get polishing the fenders as much as I can and getting the rack cleaned up and repainted.

Love the Liners, orange tires are great !

Been busy and haven't had much time but here we are so far with the build. Gotta slap a chain on it and then do a little repair work on the chain guard. I tried to fit the fenders in but there wasn't enough space with the new tires, I kinda like it more without the fenders though.

It's definitely ratty and I love it so far. I'll probably consider a complete wheel rebuild soon since the spokes are in rough shape but I wanted to get it on the road for spring to enjoy it.
