Hi everyone,
I'm relativity new on here, just haven't posted anything yet.
Well this build starts with a Monarch Firestone Speed Chief frame I bought the late this spring.

I've been collecting bits the past few months, I'm aiming for a retro dragster look. I found the tires I wanted on Saturday. A Specialized 26x1.25 Flak Jacket Fatboy for the front and a Bontrager 26x2.2 Hank for the rear,. Both are slicks, just the look I want.

So with most of the parts needed, I got to work on this build Saturday and have been going steady at it, (late every night) trying to make the dead line.

Found a very cool pair of Tommaselli Condor Sport Bars that I've got to use on this bike.

The frame is stripped and all the parts that need painting are in the final stages of being painted today. Picked up the stainless steel hardware and chrome pike nuts needed today and did most of the polishing tonight. Tomorrow I should be able to start the assembly.

Welcome to BO7.

Got the frame painted Metallic Antique Copper today. The forks and sissy bar painted with Satin Nickel.
It's a great look, very subtle till it the sunlight hits it...then Pow the metal flake jumps out.

Going to the garage now to work on the hardware and Pike nuts.

Thanks Jake,
I'm going hard at it... was call in from the garage by my wife at 1pm last night. Or was that morning?. She said "you know you have to work night the morning" .

Well I got lots done;
Tapped and cleaned out all 18 Pike nuts to be used throughout the bike and cut some threaded rod for the handle bar mount nuts.

Polished cups and poor taping. I'll try to fix that with some pin striping.

I'm going to take a shot at pin striping this myself, we'll see how that goes?

This is called Tazmania Devil buildin'!! I just wanna know how you made the bars! Great going so Get going!! GTB!! Peace

You should change the name to Pike's Peak!
Love that copper paint. It actually didn't show well in your first photo of it. Great color.

Thanks yoothgeye, Whats really tough about those Pike nuts is hitting your knee on them, F*#k...done it twice now!

The pin striping didn't go so well, I don't have the hand for it. So I'm trying to fix it by using tape to keep my lines straight.

Got it together for Saturday and had our test ride.

Very pleased with how well it handles. It ride really smooth, feels good turning and cornering, best of all I got the geometry right and the forks don't flop to one side or the other. Actually had enough confidence to try no hands!
Here's a few shots I took yesterday and today. Hoping tomorrow will have a little more sun shine here so I can get some good final photos to post.
