Welcome to the Jungle! Get ta Buildin!! Peace

Re: Timber Baron

Motorcycle bars look great on bicycles. I have a 1978 Yamaha bar with long pullbacks that make my Dyno Roadster look like a motorcycle. I always get a thumbs up from bikers when they see the bike. I notice a guy listing those slingshot style stems on ebay all the time - they are HOT and I definitely want to get one. Have Fun with the buildoff! Robert

Re: Timber Baron

Great parts to go with bike.

When I first saw your bars, I was trying to figure out what kind of stem they were attached to. :D

I am using motorcycle bars with a slingshot stem as well.

Keep it up and have fun!

Re: Timber Baron

We all must obey the nasty bunnies!

I'm finally able to rat out again after moving in to a new place.Comes with abit of shop space in the basement to boot!Apart from camping this weekend,I will be working like a dawg on this bike.

So I was able to start on the seat.Taking an Electra springer apart,turkey carving the foam down and will be upholstering it with some leather I found at work(50 year old hotel that does not throw anything away,i.e.-lots of goodies).

Put the wheels together and mocked up the bars and stem;

I dig the stem,but not on this set up,too much rise.
So I will be using this stem

The bars are cool. It gives it a forward motion attitude. Almost gives the bike an art-deco/Flash-Gordon kind of look.

Hey you are right.I was also thinking '50's space race.

Re: Timber Baron "seat done"
