so i got this for $65, that's a brooks saddle, SCORE, but I'd like to know the story on the frame (manufacture, year est.), the rack is part of the frame, same size tubing, really burley, and my panniers, just barely grab on w/ enough meat to where this bad boy will be my school commuter and possibly frankensteined w/ some mtb parts. Thinking about welding on to it (cantilever bosses,) so if it's way too vintage i may chicken out and not modify it to much. I saw one on here in the first gallery, but I don't know how to ID the owner to ask them. Thanks if you can help me.

You've got yourself a Columbia Firebolt :D If you get the serial number off the rear drop out, I can figure out the year  It's early 60's for sure :) I have a 62', you can check it out in my signature

yeah I'm excited about this one something big, and my panniers fit on the back rack, so this is gonna be may bad ... commuter, gonna weld some brake bosses on the bottom side of the frame for the back wheel, put one of them euro bottom bracket adapters for my three piece cranks so i can make this bad boy 24 speeds. I paid 95 bucks for a cool as frame AND a brooks saddle! oh man, that UNIVEGA porteur project just got pushed back a bit... hope to have pics by... next summer! (currently starting Engineering school... at age 41 7/8) LoL!
