The guy said he found it half buried in a field in Oklahoma. I couldn't see leaving it all crusty. I want to change the bars still but the Nexus 3-speed is the bomb.

Nice color, frame and wheels! You did an awesome job. Have you considered a laid back seat post?

Yes roadwarrior but the one that's in it is rust stuck like crazy. Not sure on how to try and break it loose or just weld onto the stuck post. Any ideas???

Nice ride. Try and find a smaller pipe that fits inside.Slice the old seat post with the grinder where the slit is with the bolt.I have done this with a couple of bikes.

That's a really tasteful transformation Tony.
I can appreciate original rust and graphics myself but think you totally went the right direction on this build.
I'm curious as to whether anyone at home had a hands on the hips eye roll type reaction when you brought this forelorn field find home ?
Just look at it now! Good eye.

Thank you Late for dinner! I paid $60 for rusty carcass. So it wasn't too bad. But, I did by a step-through Monark for my wife that she's now excited about.

I tried to re-pop the head badge, it had big dent in the lower left front. I put the black in the wrong spot on the crown I think, but it is what it is. Lol...
