I'm restoring my dad's Yamaha Moto Bike - having trouble finding the answer to a question about the front forks. One fork is missing a spring and I was told by my old suspension tech that some bicycle models only have a spring in one of the forks? Is that the case for this model?

Thanks 8)

This is correct...only one of the shocks up front had a spring and the other did not.

I found this out after building one up last year...

Those are nice looking bikes! :D

There is only one spring located in the right shock. It prevents it from bottoming out when the fluid is low.
Try 3oz of 20wt silicone shock oil per side after draining. May hold 4oz ? Depends on how springy you want it.
Yours is the best Moto-Bike that I have ever seen by far.. "Check mine out"

They're all like that, I'm told the fork legs are the same as the smaller trail bikes from the same time too, I know the axles are a lot wider on the fron of those things too.
