1997 YETI A.R.C. Handmade in Durango Colorado USA. This is one light bike, around 22 lbs. Chris King hubs & headset, Raceface cranks, Ringle stem & skewers, Real front sprockets, Shimano XTR front & rear derailleurs & rear cassette, XT V-brakes, Mavic Wheels, Continental Leader & Traction pro tires with latex tubes and a modified Judy XC Rock Shox with white bros air ride with about 5 inches of travel.

Thanks, when I got it I didn't have many responsibilities. No kids or house, It would be hard to pull that off today.

Thanks, I think there's two kinds of people who buy Yeti's, I'm the other type of person...Poor. It was extremely hard for me, I just wanted it so bad. At the time I was so into the sport I just made it work. I ordered the frame with a credit card from the Yeti back in 1997.

Always liked the Yeti's, especially the looptail rear triangles. I can relate to your story, back in 92 I had a $500 car but bought a Specialized S-Works M2 with full XTR.
