I found a chinese version of that style on amazon for like twenty bucks, and it's terrible. The springs that stretch under the seat are so soft they sag down to the seat post. Also with all the spring joints and whatnot it creeks like crazy with every movement I make while sitting on it. So far...

700c tires sure opened a lot of options, but they all looked a little puny. I managed to track down two of those walmart special 700x38 bell reflective hybride tires to try since they were so cheap. They're fine... I think I'll probably order a set of those sunlites eventually.

I agree. I weigh 220, and I think the springs they put on my Gipsy model are just for looks. I do like that "royal gel" (more like foam rubber) they covered the seat with, but I haven't really used it to know how well it holds up.

Bummer, I just nabbed a couple of those 700c hybrids... One of the walmarts close to me also has some water bottles and cages on sale for buck or two, branded 50 Strong. Made in USA.
