    The original clamp bolt is ok, but I wanted to upgrade. I like the clean look of a carriage insert, but a Rail clamp has round holes. So with a file, I made the round hole square. Which allows the head to fit in cleanly. And I cleaned up the other side.

    Sanded the frame smooth with 220 grit then hit it with a couple of coats of etch primer, then sanded that with 600. Next I’ll hit it with a couple coats of build primer, smooth out some minor issues with 400 grit, then a few more coats, topping it off with a light touch of 600 grit.
