Is an Old Mongoose WildCard too classic to mod/update?

My boys and I just cut up three of these, I hope not. It's not really vintage, so I would say go for it.

    Unidentified Looptail Build: "The Bush-Rat"

Thanks guys! The 20" Smokes were on back order but I finally got them. Being skinnier and much more aggressive than the "Machete" tires they don't float in sand and loose gravel as well but they sure do hook in the dirt and mud just like the MTB smokes from the old days you can hook the edge of...

    Cool cat BMX frame stretch/re-fab...

Yeah that's right I want to be one of the cool cats with the grown up length BMX bikes. I discovered how fun the small bikes are when my boys got an unidentified 1970s looptail rolling and I started riding it. It has been deemed too old and cool to cut up though and I really need something a...

26 inch DYNO FrankenBMX. FIRST RIDE! SERIOUS FUN!

Re: Mountain bike to 26" BMX Build/Conversion. This should be fun... I like your bar idea I may do something along the same lines. I am going to do a frame stretch and incorporate a few MTB bits on a 20" but I had better start my own thread. Build on!

Chro-mo new old huffy BMX stem

I went and bought it. No big deal but at least it's chromoly. Here it is on my soon to be stretch frame BMX project...

Chro-mo new old huffy BMX stem

Our local hardware has a new in the box Huffy brand Chromoly 4 bolt black BMX quill stem. Looks to be from the mid to late 80s. They want $14.99, which seems like a good deal compared to new ones these days. Of course I don't have any pics, it's still on the shelf. Of course huffy is nothing...

    Unidentified Looptail Build: "The Bush-Rat"

Just ordered some Panracer Smokes in 20x2.0. They appear to be back ordered untill the end of the month. I know these aren't old school BMX but I always loved these tires in the woods on my mountain bikes over the years so I had to get them when I saw they could be had in this size...

    Unidentified Looptail Build: "The Bush-Rat"

Yeah I have thought about that too. I love the old-schoolness of this frame and I am reluctant to modify it. I have an 80s free spirit that would lend itself well to cutting up. I have a road bike frame I set up for the fair I could use parts of for a 26" build up. I guess I just want...

    Unidentified Looptail Build: "The Bush-Rat"

Here it is all painted and put together... Now I'm thinking of re-fabing it with a bit of stretch for a 20.75" top tube. Maybe. I really like riding it but it would be nice if it fit my 6' body all the way. Also some dirt tires are in it's future for sure.

I have no pics, if I buy it I will post them up for sure...

    Possible tandem...

Found a fairly old tandem at a nick nack place for $110. I think it's a good deal. As far as age it looks like my boys bike from about the early 50s. It's been painted over so I can't tell any badges or anything but it's all there and has some ape hanger looking bars and a coaster brake. Top...

    Unidentified Looptail Build: "The Bush-Rat"

    Unidentified Looptail Build: "The Bush-Rat"

I was picking in my buddy's pile where I got this bike and found the matching Femco front wheel! No big deal but I had been using some other bike's wheel untill now and it wasn't quite as beefy. Took the bearings out and cleaned it up, fresh grease and it spins nice. I swaped my crank gear to...
