That is a nicely mounted mudguard, and I would love to see how that brake works with such a slim rim space :)
The brake caliper is a supplement to the coaster brake so somewhat a secondary brake. Not much speed involved with Basket-Case. The rim is crusty so friction will happen with pad contact.
After about three weeks of 100 plus days the 10 day forecast is to be in 80’s. It was 107 today. Suppose to be below 90 tomorrow. Maybe I can finish this puppy up.

Side distraction to get back in the build groove. New tubes in the rat Shelby

Scary powerful torque, 9 levels of pedal assist plus throttle mode.
More Basket-Case on the way…

It’s been hot and dry here after 17” of rain in May.

Made a few adjustments on Basket/Case’s fork to level up the frame, secured the rear fender, added some old Sears grips and went for street spin. I started out by going uphill and then downhill. The rear brakes worked OK. The steering is workable but not necessarily top notch.
It rides, it would probably work best in a grocery, hardware or big box store with level floors. It’s not a long distance rider. Think the rules say rideable and has a rat rod appearance in my book.

Yep, it’s basically done, need to trim some bolts. No paint on this one, true to its name. Road trip to pick up a State Klunker on tap.

I trimmed the ends of four bolts, aired up the tires and did some riding. There is a learning curve. Flat surface is better than our crowned street. Anyway a couple of raw videos, props to Mrs MazdaFlyer.
And the site says the video is too large to upload. Just 33.8MB…

Just load them to youtube and copy and paste the link. Works every time.
That’s BS stuff, suppose to work direct. What’s the Upload Video button for?

And if you only want to make it visible here, set it to unlisted and then paste the link in here. Like that it won't show up for the general YT-user.

After trial and error and saving these clips with iMovie I present a couple of ride videos.

51200kb max video size for the direct upload. And I've made sure that .mov is now on the list of files types that will up load.
Thank you very much, hopefully I’m not the only Apple devotee using the forum.
