    Electra Ghost Rider Build

I built a stand for the Electra tonight, I am going to be putting the bike in a car show called the World Of Wheels in February and need a way for it to stand up since I ditched the kickstand for a cleaner look. I used some scrap metal and wrenches from work and welded up a lil stand. This is...

    Electra Ghost Rider Build

Picked up some double sided tape this morning and reattached the head badge. There's a few lil things I still want to do it but for now it's basically done.

    Electra Ghost Rider Build

Finished putting it together tonight, picked up some electra grips that match my seat. The chain ended up being too short but luckily B and P cycle hooked me up with a chunk of some matching chain to lengthen it a couple links.

    Electra Ghost Rider Build

I got a message from the powder coater yesterday that my parts were done. Picked it up on my lunch break and started reassembly tonight.

    Nirve Paul Frank Cruiser

Media blasted and wire wheeled all the paint off the frame. First coat of paint, found this can in my collection of paint. Rustoleum "ocean mist" green. Had a couple small runs, will let it cure overnight and give it a quick sand to fix the blemishes and apply a couple more light coats of...

    Nirve Paul Frank Cruiser

I chopped the rear fender right after the first support to shorten it up. It was pretty mangled at the end. Traced the curve from the tip of the front fender. Chopped it off with an angle grinder, was happy with the result!

    Nirve Paul Frank Cruiser

Well I ended up tearing the Nirve apart, I figured whether I keep it or flip it I will get more money for it If I fix it up.

    Nirve Paul Frank Cruiser

Picked up this beat up Nirve Paul Frank cruiser last weekend. Was going to flip it but might end up cleaning it up and using it as my beater bike. I was thinking about media blasting the frame and clear coating the raw aluminum after. We will see what happens, have to focus on my Electra build...

    1980 Raleigh Transit 3 Speed

Picked up this Raleigh Transit 3 speed last week to flip. Has a Sturmey Archer AW rear hub dated 1980 and a Sturmey Archer front hub as well. SR stem and Raleigh 3 piece crank. It was pretty rough when I first got it. The wheels were very rusty and the whole bike was filthy. Spent awhile with...

    Electra Ghost Rider Build

Finished sanding the stem to 2000 grit and hand polished it with some mothers mag and aluminum polish tonight. It came out pretty good. I'd like to get an actual polisher with proper wheels and compounds eventually to get better results but this will work for now.

[help wanted] Best focus to make an ACTUAL Huffy Parkside SE

It looks like your 90 degree brake noodle on the rear is not seated all the way in like the front brake. Maybe that is why its lop sided?

Thanks everyone, I have some left over material so I may give it another go at a later date. I didn't warm up the vinyl first but it's actually pretty stretchy and I was able to pull out most of the imperfections as I stapled it down. Used 3m super 77 spray adhesive to glue it onto the foam.

    Electra Ghost Rider Build

I tried my hand at do it yourself upholstery today for the first time. Picked up some "saddle" colored vinyl from the fabric store. Turned out not bad for my first time. There's a couple spots that are not perfect but I guess it's just like me then lol. Polished the seat guts while it was apart.

I am lucky we have a parts washer at work, I was able to zip tie it inside so it didn't fly around and let it run for 30 mins, it uses hot water with detergent and high pressure jets on grated turn table. Worked very well!

    Electra Ghost Rider Build

Made some more progress tonight. Removed the paint and sanded the stem down to 600 grit to get ready for polishing. The stem clamp and top cap are getting powder coated with the frame. Cleaned the bottom bracket and washed the chain.
