Basic frame welded together. Onto the top tube, BB etc next. Low and laid back is the plan

Got in a bit of practice with the new welder, extending a set of bars for another bike. Ready to tackle the frame for this build now.

    Stormin Norman

After many hours on Google, I managed to locate a set of repop decals available from the UK. After a journey across the globe to Australia, they arrived safe and sound in the mail box today.

Thinking, fixed front wheels/cargo box, tilting frame. If I can make it work. See how the ideas in my brain translate into metal🤣

Time for something practical. Plan is for a cargo bike to carry parts between my home and workshop. Currently using my E stay, but it is no good for heavy/bulky stuff. Pic of said E stay. Thinking I might like to go for a laid back, pedal forward geometry. Similar to my Easter stretch...

    All roads Estay build

Fender clearance was too tight, mud and rocks getting jamed up in there, making all sorts of horrible noises. So go rid off the rear, and moved the front, back to the rear, plus giving it some extra clearance at the same time. Just something to keep the crud from the underside of the Brooks.

Also added an 8mm-5/16" axle to the front hub with slim lock nuts. This gets it closer to the stock 90mm width, from the normal 100mm-4"size, and saves us doing any mods to the fork for the 26er swap

    Stormin Norman

Here is the Norman as it arrived to us last year. Still on the original Dunlop tyres, they disintegrated a soon as we tried to remove them from the rims. Will be upgrading to a 26"wheel set for this one. I laced an alloy rim to a SA AW 3 speed hub for the rear. Forgot to grab a pic, but the...

English. By Norman of England, which was purchased by and absorbed into Raleigh. Originally had a 40 spoke Sturmey archer SW (Sometimes works? 🤣) Replacing with a SA 36 spoke AW (always works👌)
