    X-53 makes a hard landing.

I got my hands on a X-53. This is a model that has always caught my eye. The space age styling may be at the height of post war design. There is all the "crust" I could ask for. With all the chrome, paint and stripes, bringing this jet back is going to take a major effort. The chain guard may...

    Name this skip tooth...

This old skip tooth still resides in a barn. We only have this one picture to go on at this time. I know the other side would be more helpful, but should be enough for you bike wizards. The peek fenders, chain ring and frame should help with ID. This photo was sent to me, and have not witnessed...

    Rollfast late 40s?

Everything I have seen tells me this is a 1947 era Rollfast, but there are still questions I have. Would it have had truss rods? Did new bikes come without a chain guards? This bike has 2 holes in rear fender for drop stand and has a kick stand, and no hole for reflector. The seat configuration...

Rollfast freebee - but what is it?

This old Rollfast was is a pile of a dozen non descript bikes. The owner was planning on a bike art project, but was on to other things. She said if you can do something with it, I could have it. I offered payment, but she refused. To all Rollfast experts out there I am search of any info. I...

Sky Ray - the Atomic Space Age

I picked this early 60's odd ball as part of a 4 bike deal. The deal was buy all 4 for 400 or none at all. Three classic prewar gems, and yes...the SKY RAY. This is the condition as I picked it up. These are the previously mentioned 4 bikes. Notice the ugly duckling in the back.

    Derby 1939

This may be the most interesting bike I have got my hands on. It's a 1939+- Derby from the Mercury/Murray family. The tires appear to be original with some checking. The seat is the only part I have that a question on its originality. The rear fender is missing a reflector, and I am not sure if...

    Burgandy B-6

This is a B-6 I picked up at the end of summer. Good overall condition, and only missing a few parts. A daily rider was the initial goal. Clean-up and bearing care was the starting point. This is how it stands in the basement of the previous owner (chainsaw & lawnmower shop). Wheels chrome...

    Sky Ray

I picked this Sky Ray as part of a 4 bike deal. The chain guard says Super delux. Did this come with a tank originally? Who was the original manufacturer? Any info would be cool.

Pioneer & Derby and Schwinn B-6 & Sky Ray

Picked up the first two of four from a guy that owns a lawn mower/chain saw shop. He once also repaired bikes, but Wally world drove him out. I am not exactly sure what I got, but I knew I had to have it. Looks to be a schwinn (headbadge says Pioneer) the other is labled as "Derby"; but looks...

    Flightliner from the Roxbury backwoods

Got this Higgins from an ol timer from the hills of Vermont. The paint is not original, and is missing the light lens. Chrome is good, and it rolls true. My first venture into the space race. Feel free to comment on condition, missing parts, should I repaint etc.

    "37" Roadmaster ???

After sanding away some red barn paint, I found some markings on the fender that should be helpful with the ID. Have at it all you wizards.

    Hi from Vermont

Just getting into the old bike thing. I put a 70's Hawthorne back into circulation, and I am now in the process of restoring a 1937 (I think) Roadmaster. I am sure you good people will be able help me out.
