Anybody sniffing BO 19 in the air?

Very cool! I hope it rides good and not having to cycle with open legs. But that looks really good!

What have you been riding lately?

Wow! Some Cargobikes are cool. We have a unique chance to buy or build a New/Used electric cargo bike to haul stuff and take the kids. I have gathered a lot of information and tried some bikes. So I have ridden these the past days: The original. And tomorrow I can try this one: I...

    Coasterbrake hub builds

So I calculated the gear ratio. 25 teeth / 11 teeth = 2,27. Then you have the shaft rotating 2,27 times faster than the BB shaft or cranks. 22 teeth / 26 teeth - 0,84. This is a total of 2,27x0,84 = 1,9068. To get an idea how that rides, I used my BO18 bike as a reference: 26x3.0" wheels and...

    Coasterbrake hub builds

Thank you for that tip, I will search for that in our local paint shop. BRIKbikes, Beixo, and Biomega are brands that work with a shaft. There are several cheap mountainbikes for sale second hand with these shaft drives: Nexus 3 hub. These could be very cool klunkers! My 'BRIK' front...

    Steady Bicycle??

Canada's finest? ;) I know them stickers "Made in Holland"....... Well, the Netherlands is not Holland, Holland are some provinces. And they are "assembled" in the Netherlands (wheels, chain, tires, seat, fork and bars...) and still many companies do not use grease. Achielle, BRIKbikes...

    Coasterbrake hub builds

Hi huys, I found a stranded project for sale and decided to take a shot. Can't say when I start with my chaos of projects, but I'm certainly very excited! Number of teeth. -not mine- This is from a "BRIK" bicycle. I ordered the missing front sprocket (bottom right on the picture)...

    Cockpit shots only

I was commuting in my shorts yesterday when suddenly a cold wind accompanied with a hailstorm came over me. The hail hurts! I stopped to put my phone in a watertight pocket and took a quick cockpit shot. I could not shelter because I was cycling between meadows. At home I was soaked and cold...

Went a little better this time. The masking tape lets a drop through sometimes, so thats a challenge. But I'm happy so far  Will look good with a clear coat!

Painted the other arms metallic red and white. Tried masking and making a line, but the black paint was too thick for the thin lines. Tomorrow another try! Maybe I could use some thinner. Left: The stripes came off partially. The right arm had a larger/thicker strips and was ok.

Rustoleum new spray top = fail.

Yes, you are right @MattiThundrrr ! With the granny build, my 'chocolate brown' spraycan was empty. But there were a few touch-ups needed due to paint coming off with the tape. So I think I pushed the button with the can upside-down till all the gas pressure is relieved. Then I used a hacksaw...

Electric Cargo Bike build: Need advice

Hi guys, So I got an opportunity to build an electric cargobike to haul stuff and people around. It will be an "Two Wheel" cargo bike like this (picture from the interwebs): I was wondering about the options regarding electrical motors: Front wheel motor Rear wheel motor Central (bottom...
