I just stumbled upon this website which has a bike building program on it, there’s a free version to have a play on. I haven’t tried it yet or really know anything about it. But it might be a useful resource. I just thought I’d post the website before I forget about it and I’ll let you know if...

I managed to get a little bit of work done on the Gypsy Queen for once. Still with the idea of putting suspension on this bike and not going over the top Im approaching this with “Less is more” I’ve mocked up the front suspension using the rockers I made before, I’m not sure if they’ll work or...

The wife decided that if I have a ebike then so should she. Which is fair enough. So I throw together this retro fit. I made sure it’s built built with the same specs as mine. I still need to do custom lights and paint, but for now I’ll fit off stock lights and paint the tank to match. Ive got...

Here is my Custom Schwinn Ebike. It still has a bit of fine tuning to go, but Im happy with the way it’s turned out.

This is what I’ve been working on over the last few weeks. It’s a 1 of 1 Custom Schwinn Deluxe Ebike, with drum brakes front and rear and a 8 speed hub on the back. More photos to come.

    Mondo Shock

I wish I had read your post sooner. I remember seeing a 24 inch mono shock on eBay a while back. I wanted to get it but the asking price was to high for me but I was smart enough to get some photos. I know it’s probably to late but here they are. It looks like the bike must have been a 22 inch...

Ive been a bit busy the last des weeks and progress has been slow on the Gypsy Queen, I did manage to give the old girl a OA bath and the results are brilliant. I’ve used vinegar, citric acid but they don’t compare to OA. So now I need to formulate a plan for this bike, rather then my usual...

    Nexus Suicide Shifter

To easy, if you get in trouble or if you decide you want it I’m happy to help out. I’m not going to use it as my wife doesn’t like the idea of taking one hand off the handlebars

    Nexus Suicide Shifter

Hi I’ve got a spare one if you’re interested. I’m in Australia so if I send it by snail mail shipping shouldn’t be to expensive

And I’m starting again. The front end is to heavy and it’s lost the charm of the old vintage bike. When I come back to the fundamentals of this build and staying true to the Gypsy look. I’m after a vintage bike with some bling bit a fat wheels. Now the “bling” Could be chromed out bits or modern...

I don’t know how many times now I’ve broken this bike down and rebuilt it. Every idea, or tweak to the build results in either the complete front coming off or the back. Trying to find that sweet spot where I’m happy is so close but yet so far. I keep reminding myself that in the bike game a...

If the rack makes the cut back onto the bike it will be on a angle but not as harsh. It was originally on a slight angle. I like it and thought it gave the bike attitude, but now with the forks being the way they are, it could already have enough attitude

LOL Yes I realized after I crossed them. I’ve seen it done before on a bike that had multiple cogs and chains. I did it for the clearance factory but then when I was looking at how it works I worked out you’d pedal backwards to move forward. Which I thought was ironic at this stage of the build...

Sometimes going backwards means moving forward

Well I’m the stage where I can’t fit anymore on to this bike and it’s starting to look a little busy. And I’m not overly happy with the lines of the bike as they don’t flow the way I want. I’m sure I can fix this with having curved handlebars to suit the flow of the bike and make your eyes...

Thanks that’s a really good point, the back of the bike I need to bolt together so I may as well put the springs on there. I am concerned about the front forks and I already know that the small springs can’t go on the bottom of the forks, I put them there just for a concept idea. But my concern...

I’ve been waiting for parts to arrive. I’m not sure where this is going, I definitely want to put them on the rear, but I’m not sure on the front. Springs on springs?

I’ve been looking at my forks for a while now and they’ve been in this weird ugly stage. The bend on them didn’t suit the lines of the rest of the bike. And to me it wasn’t quite right. So I grab my spare set of forks and was just having a look at if they would work, but as I was playing around...
