    Zenith quick build.

So my friend Travis kicked me down this rad Zenith cruiser frame and fork. I had some wheels laying around, rusty white with a pinstripe and a New Departure coasterbrake. These wheels were gonna go on my Build-Off bike along with on old cast stem and some moustache-like bars but that build will...

My New Chopper - Safety Third!

I built this bike a while ago and didn't like it, so I chopped the front off it and "goosenecked" the frame, and then flipped the neck to get some rake. The fork is two layers of tubing with some internal sleeving as well. This is what it used to look like...

    Another Schwinn Stingray Build-up *DONE!*

It's a 1975. The fork is Schwinn for a 27" wheel. When I got it, it had been sandblasted and then left outside to rust. I was tempted to clearcoat it, but I wanted something a little cleaner, so it got sanded and flat black Rust-O-Leum. I'm planning a banana seat and ape hangers of course, 20''...

    Another Rat Rod Lowrider

71 Schwinn Stingray, neck raked and stretched 8", tanked w'teardrop cutout. Kustom dropout plates. The Wald springer, stem, and handlebars were $5 at a yard sale. Bendix Red Band laced into chromed fake Araya 7X rims. And of course my favorite Mexican blanket upholstery. Jet Black paint is brand...

    Burrito Redux

I changed a few things on my burrito. I got tired of my butt bottoming out on the frame, so I shorted the rear triangle. I just sawed it apart, bent it down, and put a bolt through it. I might get it weld or I might fortify it a little and use it as a suspension pivot, cutting the bottom apart...

    Repack: my '52 Schwinn

1952 ish Schwinn frame, forks are 1965 Schwinn American. Suzuki RM250 handlebars and Mongoose Gold Stem. Old Bendix hub with threaded cog and left-handed threaded lockring. Aluminum rims painted black. Future plans are drum brake up front, a springer painted brown, and button tread tires.

    Bicicleta de Burrito

Well, it's done and riding. It scrapes over speed bumps and down curb cuts, but the "cow catcher" cuts a nice swath. 72" wheelbase, 8'4" long, 60 degree head and seat angle. 5-speed w/jockey shift. The seat is about knee-high. The handlebars are made from the bottom of a shopping cart. it's...

    My Other Bikes...

I posted an intro with my Rat Rod style bikes, and these are some of my "others": Safety Third Built as a "slam" to Fixters, with pursuit geometry and an ARROSPOK (ACS Z-mag). The frame style is refered to as a sex change, using a boy's frame in back, and a girl's frame upside down on the...

Hi, I'm SkidMark from DROPOUT Bike Club

We build freakbikes, mostly tallbikes, choppers, and swingbikes, but we have a soft spot for vintage cruisers and high-risers (Stingrays). This may be sacriledge to some but, I like to modify (cut-up) Schwinns because they have thicker tubing. I assure you that I have saved more than I have...
