Hi All Apologies for a belated update. Not much to report other than the application of fruit and other stickers! I am currently racking my brain as to how to fix the 2 lights (1 original and the other off flea bay) onto the rear carrier. They are slightly different and reckon that they are cut...

Yes indeed back to the build. It's stalled at the moment, I'm waiting on another rear light which I will attach to another then to the carrier. Then pretty much done, except for the application of more stickers! Camouflage is the key!

Bloody h e l l ! that's a lot of bikes. The Dutch are nuts for bikes though. I watched a great vid recently it showed that 'uncool' bike that most use. Seems its extremely well designed and very functional and comfortable.

That was the underlying factor with mine 'utility' based, functional too.

It's just occurred to me that I'm still using the 53 year old brake cable! :giggle:

Yep, gonna ask around to see if anyone has a busted one that I could use.

Wow, I'm glad you're inspired. Thanks You very much indeed for your comments. It's been interesting to have had an idea in my head and now its nearly finished. A learning curve too. As Kustom car people say 'built not bought!'. It's really smooth to ride, and most importantly FUN! Riding...

Rode to park earlier, then for a ride after to cool down. Really nice ride. Bungee corded the deck to the carrier.

Thanks a lot. Not much more to do really, a tweak here and there and the rear lights. All in time for summer.

Hmmmmmmmmmm now that's got me thinking!!!!???? Coincidentally i'm currently deciding how to attach the 2 rear lights together (another is on the way from ebay) and then fix to the carrier rack? A skateboard would do this! Brilliant idea mate. I'm taking inspiration from the Mod scooter...

Update: Pretty much done. I call it the same as my username 'Cargo 13' Test runs went well, nice n smooth, a great ride. Freewheel added and chain installed, unfortunately it was either as either slack as a cows a*se or tight as a nuns. It sits near the end of the drop outs but i am...

Yup a lowrider inspired bike. I did briefly consider putting on some white wall Lowrider tyres until I saw the price of them. Theres a nice little clip here, there some great lowrider custom bikes, but I really like the bike on at about 1:56, it's only on screen for a few seconds seconds...

Very nice, A first glance might think, ah a raleigh twenty with 18inch wheels? But they're not. In my mind I see it comparative to a lowrider car (something else I find inspiring). Hmmmm, If I had the time and inclination, I would get another twenty and put 18inch (Commando) wheels on it...

Hub says 69 3! Wow, it's older than me, I was born in 1970. I'm 52 now, but I'm still a child and I reject modern living. It's why I like old bikes, skateboards, comics, cartoons, cars, tv-shows, music and most from that era!

It's true, green is faster. But you don't see many green bikes? Except military ones in camo! ;) Or maybe you dont see them? There's some weird superstitious stuff around green cars, I reckon the lack of green bikes comes from this (at the risk of going off topic)...
