When I started driving in High School gas was 15.9 to 19.9 cents per gallon. Suck it up…everything is more expensive. Research prices in 2008.

You are not helping the swap meet with that post @Karate Chicken Industries ...
Repo Man's Always Intense

I ride a bicycle just about everywhere and driving is a necessary evil that collects bikes and allows me to ride in other locales. I kinda figure riding at destinations relieves the dents that driving puts in any intelligence I may have left.

Well we live 20+ miles from work, and I drop my wife off at her job every morning and pick her up every night. My wife is physically unable to ride a bike and I don’t like riding on our county road in the dark (no shoulder). So I ride weekends in the summer and early evenings when it’s nice. I still want to get to the swap meet, we’ll see how things pan out.

I have been there..... This swap meet is worth going to! Excellent people too!
You never know what will show up. Complete bikes, original, modified, project bikes. Lots of parts, NOS, used, old and new. Affordable stuff, pricey stuff, stuff to trade, bring what you have. We’ve had buyers and sellers from surrounding states, MO, NE, CO, OK, IA that I recall.

I should have my mom go and stream live for me, and buy for me too. I’m in Lakewood Colorado now and she is in Derby. Much closer than I am. Haven’t seen anything like this in Colorado yet. No rides, shows, nothing.

I’ve been to Veloswap 3 years ago, NAHBS the last time it was in Denver and Tour de Fat in Fort Collins a few years back. I’ve done considerable riding in Fort Collins, lots of pathways and bike lanes. Some good riding at Lory State Park as well. There is some good bicycle culture in Colorado.

Good vibes at the Midwest Bicycle Swap Meet also.

There is an OBC ride in Wichita each month concurrent with Denver ride.

NAHBS the last time it was in Denver
After years of being invited to all sorts of events and never going (by choice), NAHBS 2013 was the first and only I've ever attended. Both the event and after-party at Blake Street Tavern were well worth the drive down to Denver on a cruddy Winter day.

And don't forget the Lightshine Radler Ride! Last year was the first for this ride and sponsored by Wibby Brewing. We had around 600 people last year and they are planning (5 year plan) on making it HUGE! It used to be the G'Night Ride when sponsored by Oskar Blues.
