Repainted 1952 Schwinn Hornet - 750 W Bafang, Shimano Nexus 3 speed rear, Panasonic Dyno front both with band brakes. NOS Shimano 333 grip shifter.

So that is a mid drive? The chain guard really hides it.
It is. A good chain guard can hide it pretty well. I just got 750 Tongshen mid drive for an Indian Tribute build and can't wait for testing - it has a torque sensor as opposed velocity sensory like the Bafang. Attached a pic of a early 60s Rex Chrome that I was able to hide pretty well also.
