This original beauty is back on the market.
I sold this bike, but I screwed up the sale when in the process of breaking it down for shipping I rung the head off of the 1/4" bolt that attaches the front fender to the bottom of the fork crown. The fender and fork are undamaged, but the sheared bolt will need to extracted or drilled out and retapped. I don't have the time to correct this and also it is already completely wrapped, protected, boxed and ready for shipping. Buzz me if you have any questions.

Thanks, every time I look at the fender paint, I can't get over the fact that 63 year old paint looks that sweet! I wonder how those fenders and light would look on a FloCycle?

I'm surprised that one broken bolt was a deal breaker. It's a 60+ year old bike and this ain't a perfect world.

It took the buyer off guard and he wasn't ready for the work it would involve to fix it. I refunded the purchase and bikeflights let me cancel the shipping, so everyone is happy.
Now someone else has a chance to be happy with this beauty.
Just realized that I am two posts away from 22,222 posts! :forum:

On that broken bolt . Some one can just have a stud bolt welded onto the broken one & then you can unscrew it .

That would take some pretty precise welding to not arc to the fork itself.

Should you part , I'll take the fender & light combo....

I can't imagine parting it out at this point. There is a lot more money to be had that way, but this one is just too original.
If I did though, you might see what deep well Monark fenders and train lights look like on a FloCycle. :cool2:

bump for a boxed up and ready to go beauty

Bump - Please don't make me part this out.

Yah , that's gonna be sad seeing those parts all spread out on e-bay.

I agree. That's why I have it priced $150-250 less that what I can get for the parts.
