I had 3 bikes planned for this 4 month build off, but my powder coat guy injured his hand and couldn't complete all of my frames. Ultimately I had to give all of my love and attention to this old 3 speed Fireball. First order of business was to upgrade it to a 5 speed to make use of some rare NOS hubs I had, along with the rare Sturmey Twinshift that I built from parts new and old. This has some custom touches obviously. This style of seat would typically find a home on a Columbia bicycle, and the Fireball decal is a modern upgrade, designed to look as though it could have been original. The colour is a rich bronze copper powder that matches the wood grain shifter handles nicely. Have a look at what I started with and you'll see this bike has come a long way.
