A friend alerted me to this RB-2 on Fb Marketplace Saturday. I bought it for $120. The guy told me he had 47 inquiries in less than two hours.

I have a 1990 RB-1 in purple and white since new, so this purple RB-2 will look nice in my collection. I will keep it as vintage as I can stand. It looks to have very few miles on it and is mostly original. The plan is to put a more recent Ritchey saddle (all my road bikes have them) on, new tires, new brake pads, new wider bars and white tape, and new decals after cleaning frame. I may clear coat over the decals. Oh, I will also replace the 23t freewheel with a 25t. Lollipop pedals too.

started assembly. cannot wait to ride this thing.

parts I had in stock:
vintage TiTec seat post
Ritchey Comp saddle
vintage 3TTT stem
Planet Bike bottle cages

ah! I could'a finished this thing today were it not for the fact that I ordered a 7 speed freewheel and not a cassette. Rookie move.

and done. Immediately after taking this picture I rode it 12 miles on the rollers. I dig this bike. A lot.

I'll do small improvements over the next couple years. I'd like to find some minty period correct skewers. These are rusty. Things like that.

This is my other Bridgestone. Recently restored.
