I know there is a difference between schwinns 1 3/4 x 20 inch tire and a off brand 1 .75. Tire but I thought I heard somewhere one of these will work on either rim and the other size won't . reason asking is wanting to a buy a West wind 1 3/4 to put on a off brand rim 1.75 rim To be more old school on a repaint job .

The rim diameters are ~.5" different... I've heard of people managing to stretch a decimal tire on to a middleweight rim, but not successfully using it that way.
