Hello peoples,

Been in the BMX world, but now getting into cruisers...trying to build a nice one for my girlfriend. I think this is the right place :D

I picked this up on Craigslist, the serial #D00549 is stamped on the bottom bracket and my research tells me it's 1948-52.
But can someone actually tell me what model it is? It resembles a 1950 Schwinn Packard Ladies Bike? It seems like aftermarket replacements are relatively easy to find for cruisers, but I would at least like to have original forks...any ideas/suggestions always welcome! Thanks!

All of the girls balloon models from that time period used the same frame. If you can find the original paint scheme under the repaint you might be able to narrow it down a little farther. The good thing is, you can use it to build any model you want. An original fork shouldn't be too hard to find. Make sure you get a balloon fork and not a middleweight. Gary
