Had a 53 Pontiac in that Chevy Green colour when I was a kid like this build .
It had black Primer under the paint and almost no rust

Wow! On the verge of becoming a Page 2 slacker. I will have a couple add ons early this next week. Until then, I got this very unique t-shirt from my son on Saturday. He found it in a shop in Barcelona on his trip to Spain recently.

It combines my two greatest hobbies; old bikes and music. A vintage bike with vinyl records as wheels? Too cool!

The hood ornament on a '53 Bel Air was like a modified rocket / jet of sorts. I picked up this vintage Tootsie Toy navy plane on the 'bay.

A little session with the angle grinder and the rattle cans, and we have a front hood / fender ornament for the Shelby.

Looks cool man. Nice mods and perfect scale for the bike.

Road trip! It's Thursday night on our side of town, and that means the A & W Car Show is on. I did a remote reporter video , check it out below. After the introduction, I turned the camera horizontally, but Youtube doesn't autocorrect, so it's best watched on a phone or tablet, and you can turn it sideways and see it just fine.

Before I left, I got some more work done on the '53 Bel Airflow. I wanted something that looked vintage, and kind of appropriate for the era for a rear tail light / reflector. I found this marker light for trailers at Northern Tool, and liked it right away.

Of course it was too shiny and runs off a 12 v battery, so I cut the wires, found some mounting bolts, added a little rat-ina, and viola'!

Then it was load up the bikes and head out. Kip, the owner of the A & W, has welcomed me from the first time I showed up a couple years ago. He made sure I found the guy with the Free Root Beer Float tickets before I left!

RaT oN~!

Rat's Gass must have blown them away! Did you fill the tank with root beer?
I def got some looks at the bikes all night long. Periodically, I would hop on one of them and do the 'oval track' through the parking area. You could hear the conversations pause as I rode slowly by. Kind of fun. I can get 4 bikes in the 'RaT TraP' trailer. I think if it's nice next week I'll bring some that I might want to 'move' and put some signs on them, a little description, price or B/O, that kind of thing.
